Both men devise all sorts of amusing schemes to get the other's wife out of her "iron panties," and much of the antics that ensue, despite the silliness, are pretty funny. But that Edwige...OMG! Whether running seminaked (and warm) through a sunlit field, stripping for an aged doctor or rolling around with any number of cuckolders, this spectacular Eurobabe does not disappoint. In a strange twist of fate, however, Sham is not only the sheriff but also the bartender so with the MacNasty Brothers gone, he too needs to figure out a way to get some cash rolling in. Enter a gal named Lolita, a foxy blonde dancer who impresses Sham with her striptease skills. He knows a good thing when he sees it and so he hires her to strut her stuff in his bar to get the guys rolling in and the money flowing once again. When this turns out to be a smart move he brings in more girls to peel for pay and he starts running some gambling tables too. Things are going quite well for him until the McNasty Brothers return to Sewerpipe Creek, but Sham has a plan and doesn’t intend to let his business go down the tubes again… This one is pretty incomprehensible. It’s essentially a western about a Sheriff who winds up running a whorehouse but it’s all over the place in terms of plot, pacing and style. Even when the Sheriff narrates things in an attempt to bring all of this together it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. It’s a fairly experimental film and it definitely gets points for taking strange chances in terms of setting, casting and… pretty much everything else but it’s loopy as loopy can be.

L'Uomo Che Guarda AKA The Voyeur (1994) - Tinto Brass

Dodo's agonizing over his wife's contempt for him and the identify of the mysterious lover who has usurped him is countered with lighter vignettes (mostly lighter, though one moment has one of Brass' starlets showing her infibulation scars which feels exploitative though we must commend the actress for not feeling ashamed considering how psychologically and physically damaging this cultural practice can be) in which Dodo winds up the voyeur instead of a participant which insure a positive reaction from Dodo to his wife's faithlessness in the Brass tradition.

The film's most explicit (though not hardcore) scenes involve Nikos and a pair of Swedish tourists, smoldering brunette Stefania Casini (from Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA) and a glowingly youthful, soon to become porn icon Ilona Staller a.k.a. la Cicciolina herself ! These two exquisite women share the movie's single most memorable carnal encounter as they languidly make love in a very white bedroom setting as Nikos is forced to watch from the sidelines. Ennio Morricone's plaintive score adds just the right touch of melancholy and foreboding doom this somewhat overwrought but impossible to forget miniature Greek tragedy demands. Check it out if you can find it.
