This movie is a fake documentary on the sexual habits of teenagers/college age youth. The deep, newscaster-like voice of the narrator leads us through a series of vignettes, with different actors. The first deals with a girl who wants to trade sex for grades, which seems sort of cliche. In another episode, a black girl and her white boyfriend deal with their classmates' racism. There are a few other mini-plots, all with the requisite nudity and implied sex. The episodes focus on one or two characters who undergo a sort of 1 dimensional coming-of-age process. The fantastic, kitschy soundtrack is by Gert Wilden and his orchestra. A lot of his "Schulmadchen" hits seem to come from this movie. Also known as 'Campus Swingers'. The title translates as 'what drives parents to despair'. I never knew Germans could be so hip!

This is much better written than the usual German sex films a la report style. As so often, the eroticism is rather flat and relies too much on nudity alone.

However, some of the comedy scenes work amazingly well - for example, the dialogue of the episode with the sales rep for Thomas Mann is very sharp (and highly contemporary, it would not work in 1965 or in 1980), as is the ironic interplay between narrative and pictures in the postman episode. It would be very easy though to completely ruin that sharpness in a dubbed version.

A school advisory board gather to decide the fate of one of it's girl students who was found having sex with her bus driver in this German soft-core porn. Filmed as a faux-documentary (with some real life and some faked interviews interspersed between the little stories of various girls gone 'wild'), the main purpose is to titillate more than educate, and it does it's job adequately if not particularly well. This was the first in a LONG line (11 sequels!!) of "Schoolgirl Reports".
