Kurutta Butokai AKA Muscle (1989) - Hisayasu Satô

Hisayasu Sato, known as one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Pinku Eiga, has been known from being one of the most complex and versatile filmmakers to come out of pink films and one of the few to shoot both straight and gay films. This one, probably his best known work along with Splatter: Naked Blood, is a sophisticated, dark, brooding erotic film that's also a big tribute to Pasolini.

Tamawarinin Yuki AKA Virgin Breaker Yuki (1975) - Yûji Makiguchi

Quote: Based on a porno manga by Kosuke Miki and Tadashi Matsumori, this pair of short features follow the adventures of Yuki, who works in a Kyoto red-light district house of ill repute as a "tamawari," or "virgin-breaker." She's the gal who gets first dibs on the new recruits to the brothel (some willing, some not), and it's her job to break them in for future clients. The first film finds Yuki involved with a group of political rebels, and in the slower sequel Yuki thinks she's finally found love after some studly service, but as you might expected, things don't quite turn out the way she expected. The first two films from director Yuji Makiguchi, these over-the-top sexploitation entries aren't as humorous or crazy as the works of fellow Toei filmmakers Norifumi Suzuki or (ahem) Teruo Ishii, but walk a very fine line between black humor and severe cruelty.

Gendai sei hanzai ankokuhen: aru torima no kokuhaku AKA Dark Story of a Sex Crime: Phantom Killer (1969) - Kôji Wakamatsu

Quote: Part of Wakamatsu's ongoing fascination with sexual predators. It's an incel film avant la lettre, executed in true Wakamatsu style. Certainly not his most prominent or polished work, though fans of Wakamatsu won't be disappointed. Others should probably seek out his more famed work first. The film follows a frustrated young man. He yearns to be in the company of a woman, but seems unable to make any kind of meaningful connection with them. When a friend of his offers to share his girlfriend, he accepts reluctantly, but his first sexual experience awakens dark feelings that will drive him to commit violent crimes. Wakamatsu offers another glimpse into the mind of a very troubled soul. It's certainly not a pleasant film, let alone a titillating one, so if that's what you're after you can better skip this one altogether. If on the other hand you like a stylized and frank descent into the rotten mind of a violent pervert, Wakamatsu has you covered.

Tokugawa onna keibatsu-shi AKA Shogun's Joy of Torture (1968) - Teruo Ishii

Quote: Set in 17th century Japan, when members of the Tokugawa clan ruled the country with fear and terror. Punishment for those who broke the rules set by the Shogunate was brutal and severe. "Shoguns Joy of Torture" tells three terrifying stories about guilt, crime and punishment. The film is loaded with some truly shocking torture scenes, so some unprepared viewers will be offended. Women are decapitated, burned alive, beaten, whipped or torn in two by oxen. The production values are high, the cinematography is polished and the soundtrack is moody and sad.
