Une collection particulière [Oberhausen-Cut] (1973) - Walerian Borowczyk

The Oberhausen-Cut differs from the final version in a number of ways. There's no spoken narration (and hence no subtitles), the photographs are much more overtly pornographic (in the shorter cut, cunningly-positioned fingers and thumbs are used to censor details, suggesting that Borowczyk planned alternative edits at the time of shooting), and there's the notorious sequence featuring genuine bestiality - although an introductory card explains that to comply with German law, part of the image in this sequence had to be pixilated. Image quality is a fair bit poorer, but given the rarity of this cut that's understandable. [MichaelB - criterionforum]

Sexangle (1975) - John Lindsay

Sexangle is a "blue movie" starring none other than Cosey Fanni Tutti. Produced by the infamous John Lindsay under the pseudonym of Karl Ordinez, this was one of the many endeavors in the adult industry that Cosey used as both financing for Coum Transmissions and eventual fodder for the Prostitution exhibition at the ICA in 1976.

The Cloud Door (1994) - Mani Kaul

 photo The-Cloud-Door-1994-Hot-Hindi-Movie-Watch-Online1.jpg

In an ancient castle in Rajasthan the King overhears the parrot in its cage whispering erotic descriptions to his young daughter Princess Kurangi. Enraged, he pulls out a knife and attacks the cage. Kurangi defends the bird by arguing that its speech is all learnt. Young women descend into the waters of a pool. Kurangi clutches the green parrot with its long tail against her bosom. Her clothes fall on the steps as she enters the waters with the parrot. The bird suddenly spreads its wings and flies off travelling over the mountain top to a far place.
The parrot has been captured by a bird catcher. When Ratnasen passes by its cage, he is startled to hear the parrot speak his love's name: "Kurangi"

Sodomites (1998) - Gaspar Noé

http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/8435/bscap00120hx.jpg

conoclastic indie filmmaker Gaspar Noe is as soft-spoken as his films are abrasive. The force behind the short film "Carne" (1991) and "I Stand Alone" (1998) --- two visually explosive and delectably warped odes to the ordinary madness of a misunderstood horse butcher --- Noe writes, directs, produces, shoots and edits films so distinctive that his films have already developed cult followings.

As part of a French government initiative to promote the use of condoms through graphic depictions of their proper use, Noe made the short "Sodomites" and handled camera duties on Hadzihalilovic's "Good Boys Use Condoms."

There's to much to say about each individual movie, but the level of quality is high and most of them has very strong concepts. My favorite is also the first one, "Skin", directed by Elin Magnusson. It's a beautifully shot sex scene between a man and a woman all dressed in a skin-colored body stocking. Slowly they cut parts of their body skin open, and in the end there's nothing left of this shell. Only humans. It's sexy, erotic is probably the best in this collection of high quality shorts. "Body Contact" was almost scary to see, because it seems so real at first. It's about a girl who want's to make a porn movie and films the whole experience together with her friend. They find a man from the southern parts of Sweden and manipulates him to be in the movie. It's both funny, and even a bit unpleasent. "On Your Back Woman" is a cute wrestling-themed short with three lesbian couple. I think cute is a good word (maybe the director will disapprove there?), but it's also strong movie with strong love.

LUST: 12 SEXY SHORT [+Extras] (1998 - 2003) - Various

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41DG6GzM6vL._SL500_AA300_.jpg

Lust: 12 sexy short brings to light a wide range of cutting-edge films from 8 different countries that takes a humoristic look at the search for pleasure. It's a discovery of a wide range of low-budget film-making styles that strolls us through a frenetic world that begins with sex for some and ends in separations for others. These films portray experiences that dissolve into a blurry vision of love. Lust is an incomplete inventory - who could pretend otherwise !! - of the different strategies of attack and defense within the permanent struggle against loneliness. Lust shows us a world where although the rules are simple, the winner never adheres to them. (-Lowave)

On Top Down Under (2000) - Friðrik Þór Friðriksson

On Top - Iceland, a lighthouse, a cold winter evening. Her thoughts drift back to that summer ... to bathing in the hot springs ... to when they first met ... and embraced. Down Under - Australia, the desert, a blistering heat wave. His pickup stops at an icehouse ... he lays the blocks neatly on the buckboard ... and drives off haunted by a aching memory. Without dialogue or comment, save for verses from a sonnet by John Keats, Fridrik Thor Fridriksson links the thoughts, the emotions, the sensual longing of young lovers at opposite ends of the world. A tone poem, a collage of sight and sound.

Hotel Desire (2011) - Sergej Moya

Quote:
Sergej Moya is a German actor, writer and director who had the idea for the movie. The 23-aged filmmaker appreciates erotic films which celebrate emotional relationships and depict explicit sexual actions as part of an interesting and demanding love story. So he created the ambitious project HOTEL DESIRE. In his film he wants to tell the story of a woman who is longing for more in her life than only the daily business. It's an attempt to explore human aspiration for explicit sexuality and to present it as an intriguing story with erotical feelings and sensual pictures.

It's said that women think about sex every 60 seconds on average during the day, men every 52 seconds," he says. "However, I could not find any data on how many seconds, minutes or hours we think about murder and homicide every day. I want to make a film that does justice to sexuality as an expression of human joy of life. A film that confidently borrows from the porn genre, but that is not a porn film."

De Wachtkamer AKA The Waiting Room (1995) - Jos Stelling

From IMDB:
User Review

"O be careful little eyes what you see . . ."
19 October 2001 | by Timothy Damon

This director is simply incredible. I saw Jos Stelling's film THE POINTSMAN some years ago, and I'm not sure I would have believed a feature length film without the spoken word could be made. But he did it, and it was great! So then, would a shorter film in the same format be easier to make? You might think so. But Mark Twain once remarked (paraphrased) that he could do a 2 hour speech on most any subject with little advance preparation, but to properly do a 15 minute speech might take at least a week to properly prepare. Regardless, he has a wonderful time in a train station, mostly in the waiting room. The camera is mainly on a Casanova of a man as his gaze goes well beyond the personal boundaries of the women he is, . . . well, to put it bluntly, lusting after. It reminded me of the cartoon postcard of a slick-talking guy next to a woman asking her "Do you mind if I undress you with my eyes?" and she is thinking {'well, I guess it's better than having you touch me"] Whether or not this guy knows he's gone beyond the bounds of propriety I'll leave to your contemplation. But his come-uppance is quite delightful.

The Gas Station (2000) - Jos Stelling

During a traffic jam, a man flirts with another driver.

Jos Stelling (1945) made his debut as a director with Mariken van Nieumeghen in 1974. The film was selected for Cannes in 1975. Since then he has been writing and directing eight feature films. For his short film The Waiting Room (1996) Stelling was awarded a Golden Rose (Press Award) in Montreux, a Golden Gryphon in St. Petersburg as well as his fourth Gouden Kalf (GoldenCalf, the Dutch film award).
