The Apple-Knockers and the Coke (1948) - Anonymous

Autotranslated from French:
At first glance, "The Apple Knockers and the Coke" seems like a small, low-profile film, designed to be eye-catching. But this splendid young woman on the screen seems familiar to us… According to the legend of the time, the one who has fun with an apple and a bottle of Coca-Cola would be Norma Jeane Mortenson, the future Marilyn Monroe. Information which will then be denied.

VINTAGE EROTICA ANNO 1950
15 Short Films

Quote:
20 Years before the rise of 1970's hardcore films in the U.S., the commercial pornography produced by the French unleashed a new era of Erotic Cinema.
Suddenly, unlike the common "stag" films of the time, scripts, multiple camera angles, and title credits were introduced into erotic productions.
These extended 15-minute films were intended for private viewing in the back rooms of stores, in homes, and at local brothels. The themes of many of these films were bondage and burlesque; images similar to those produced by Irving Klaw in the U.S. The main difference being that in France the filmmakers would show on-camera sex, and nudity. These films stand out, not only for being ahead of their time, but because they transcend the standards of much of what is being produced today.

The Opium Den (1935) - ?

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b200/ScreaminJayHawkins/sc/bscap0501.jpg

"The Opium Den, from 1935, follows. Three jacked-up junkies pretend to bugger each other with sausages, dildos, and bananas. Lucky for them a lady shows up to provide them a heterosexual outlet for their desires. Oddly, they spend an inordinate amount of time smoking, laughing, and fiddling with their disguises. Yes, these folks are wearing fake noses, heavy make-up, and glasses. Their disguises lay bear the reality of how taboo pornography must've been in the 1930's, especially when one considers the setting for their sexcapades, an opium den. Only junkies and degenerates have illicit sex and take illicit drugs, right? Well, at least the conflation of drugs and sex probably made the "upstanding" middle-class consumers of this stuff feel superior to the bodies projected on their walls. Eventually everyone gets nude, two of the men leave, and a chunky fellow slides his long screwdriver into The Night Mare. The fucking is pretty hot, The Night Mare seems to have mysterious gripping powers inside of her vagina--she almost consumes and spits out the junkie's cock with every thrust. The junkie pulls out and ejaculates all over himself."

As he becomes intoxicated, his thoughts return to the dancers, and he begins to see images of nude dancers all around him. Whether he goes into the subway, rides on a streetcar, or returns to the fire station, he continues to see the same imaginary sights.

Saturn Filme (1906-1910) - Johann Schwarzer

The following article is taken from the Journal of Film Preservation, December 1998
(C) The International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF)

Saturn: The erotic beginnings of Austrian cinematography
Michael Achenbach and Paolo Caneppele

Asked about early Austrian cinema most film historians will mention Von
Stufe zu Stufe or Der Müller und sein Kind, movies filmed between 1908
and 1911. Not many people know that before them, in 1907, a Viennese
studio called Saturn started mass production of feature films.
Unfortunately, because of the Saturn-films’ peculiar topics, up until now
certain reluctance combined with a large amount of bashfulness caused a
distortion in the historical reconstruction of Austrian filmography. The
chronology of the real events was falsified and important sources of the
birth of Austrian cinematography were kept as a secret. Filmarchiv
Austria decided to set the record straight and fill the gap by publishing a
book and a videocassette. The book addresses movie-specialists, while
the cassette will be suitable for a general audience interested in the his-
tory of Austrian movie production.

Vintage Erotica Anno 1930 (2003) - Various

Artists have explored the erotic image since the beginning of time. On the walls of caves, on Hindu Temples, in ancient scrolls, humans have celebrated the sexual act. Cinema is no stranger to eroticism, but there is a mistaken belief that erotic cinema is an invention of the past fifty years. In order to dispel this myth we present this archive of erotic images captured by our "grandfathers camera."
This DVD includes two hours of French erotica from the 1920's and 30's and features all aspects of soft-core, hard-core, straight, bi, gay and fetish imagery. Made in France, these films feature lush backdrops and exotic costumes with settings ranging from the Orient to the era of the Musketeers. Filmed by professionals as well as amateurs (like the mysterious Mr. X) these films prove that erotica cinema is as old as cinema itself.

Forbidden Movies from the Brothels of Paris (2004) - Various

Anthology of Eroticism of the 1920s
Description
This anthology of eroticism from the 1920's features a collection of vignettes that were shown in the projection rooms of famous Parisian bordellos such as the Chabanais, the Panier Fleuri, the Sphinx and the Temple of Venus.

If you're familiar with Cult Epics' Vintage Erotica series, you get an idea of what it's all about. However, contrary to what we could see in the middle of the century—see anno 1950—where the films were making a slight effort at developing exposition, here the settings are as basic as possible, usually limited to a bed where one to three protagonists are experimenting with various positions and toys. This is as pornographic as smut can be and the faded black and white look gives it a creepier look, at the exception of one segment where the contrast is so high it becomes almost—unintentionally—artistic.

Die Kanzlei (1920) - ?

Film restored by Filmoteca de la Generalitat Valenciana (Spain)

At a chancery a lawyer helps his female customers, predominantly with his member. Watch how even back in silent-movie times girls expressed themselves freely on camera. By the way, back in those days, women with 'Rubens' figures were considered beauty-queens, but the sex was similar to what's happening today! There's merry threesomes, lesbian games and a priest off the straight and narrow! Porn-fodder of the rare kind: A movie from 1920!

Marylin Monroe pornography (1948) - Marylin Monroe

Many famous stars began their career in pornography, Marilyn Monroe being one of the greatest examples, who when financially stable declared she no longer had to gratify the sexual demands of studio executives.

A pornographic short film of Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe recently surfaced in Spain. This grainy black-and-white footage was made in 1947 when Monroe was 21. The American Film Institute, though has denied reports from Spain that it had authenticated the 50-year-old pornographic film purportedly showing Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe engaging in a sexual act.

As early as 1944 Marilyn Monroe was in Los Angeles modeling and acting and in 1949 posed nude for Tom Kelley in a series of photographs that would later galvanize her image as a sex symbol and fuel her rise to fame. The late 1940's was a difficult time for Monroe, having lost her 20th Century Fox contract in 1946 she allegedly returned to less reputable means of making money to support herself.
